Where is Albania on the Map?
Albania is located in the western part of the Balkan peninsula. It borders the former Yugoslavia (Serbia - Montenegro) and Kosova in the north and the east, (FYR of) Macedonia in the east, and Greece in the south. It has access to the Adriatic and Ionian Seas in the west. From the Strait of Otranto, Albania is less than 100 km (60 miles) from Italy. The country covers a total of 28,000 squared kilometers (11,000 squared miles) and its population is 3.3 million.

 Born in Uskub, Ottoman Empire (now Skopje, in the Republic of Macedonia), at 18 she left home to join the Sisters of Loretto. In 1962, she received the Magsaysay Award for Peace and International Understanding. In 1971, she was awarded the Pope John XXIII Peace Prize and St. Gabriel award. Teresa was also awarded the Templeton Prize in 1973, the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, and India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1980. She was awarded the Legion d'Honneur by Haitian dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier in 1981.  Ismail Qemali lindi ne Vlore ne nje familje te pasur me 24 janar te vitit 1844, vdiq ne Itali nga nje atentat me helm me 24 janar te vitit 1919. Ishte udheheqes i shquar i Levizjes Kombetare Shqiptare dhe kryetar i pare i Shqiperise se pavarur.
Pasi kreu shkollen fillore ne qytetin e lindjes dhe gjimnazin "Zosimea" ne Janine, me 1859 u vendos me familjen e tij ne Stamboll, ku u aktivizua ne levizjen patriotike shqiptare: mori pjese ne perpjekjet per caktimin e nje alfabeti te perbashket te gjuhes shqipe dhe per formimin e nje shoqerie kulturore shqiptare.
